History

“I’m not a very good photographer, but I like photography. At first, I decided to paint the pictures I would have liked to take. I have often added a small detail – a funny or surreal touch. Here is my admiration for the universe of Magritte and my sense of humor. The recurring figure of the climber is also a way of saying: ‘Go ahead, continue, hang on!’”
These first paintings by Caroline Dechamby are characterized by their hyperrealism and the choice of subjects – from landscape paintings to everyday objects, between nature and contemporary still life.
